So I'm managing to resist the urge to try out xmonad... but I've succumbed to awesome (inspired by Husio's screenie from last month).  Awesome is, well, pretty awesome for what I need.  I might play with xmonad once I have some more free time next month, but for now this set up works out great.  Tiling WMs FTW!
