The problem is that webpages takes ages to load (resolving hostname to IP) and pacman updating is also very slow (resolving ftp namesevers to ip's...).
I've ran into this problem the first time i've installed arch. I fixed it by disabling the ipv6 module in modprobe.conf and disabling ipv6 in firefox (that doesn't really make any difference IMO).
I was using a router also.
Anyway, i've changed my NIC yesterday, router settings are the same, arch inet settings are the same, ipv6 modules disabled but i have the problem again for some reason. Anything inet related (resolving domains) is very slow again.
I have no idea what to do since it should've been working like before. I don't see how a simple NIC swap can send me back to hell again.
Any ideas?

Your ISP's DNS servers might be having issues, it sounds like. You can try OpenDNS and see if their servers resolve quicker for you:

I'm using the same servers in Windows and everything loads up fast like it should. If i ping them from arch i get around 1-2ms which is perfect.

Weird. I've added "nameserver 4.2.2.2" to the top of my resolv.conf file and now everything works great. My regular dns's are working properly in windoze though... didn't think it was a dns problem.
