KDE in the lead... hmm.. I wonder what percentage of those users are using KDEmod instead of standard KDE?
Yes, that would have been interesting as well. Maybe it's time soon to start another survey about KDE / KDEmod shares
And also another one about where Arch is installed: workstation, desktop, server, router, gateway, ... Could be interesting as well and maybe this could explain the high number of openbox / fluxbox and all the others.
EDIT: OK, I couldn't let it go, I just had to start the survey on KDE / KDEmod. Please, go nuts
[Poll] KDE or KDEmod with Arch Linux?
Someone in a german Arch thread predicted a 90% win for KDEmod. I don't think so, 50% the most if not less...

Appears KDEmod is in the lead of the KDE poll.

Used Xfce for 2.5 years. Switched to KDE(mod) about a month ago and /me is happy.

Only 2% E16/E17 users! I really expected it to be more...
My guess on E17 is many people probably still think that it's buggy. It's not. There are a few quirks here and there, but it works very well. I'm currently building it weekly and I haven't had any breakages in months.

I tend to jump between KDE and awesome. They are both good for different tasks.

KDE, I'm satisfied with it, and KDE4 looks quite promising

Gnome, although I try out different DE's from time to time, I always go back to gnome.
Perhaps my fond memories of the Amiga has something to do with it

Just Openbox with Conky. I do like KDEMod though, but after using it for awhile, it feel kinda bloats (due to me being spoiled with a pure Openbox setup). I am, however, looking forward to KDE4; it looks very promising.

Currently running XFCE because I like a right click menu but compiz is just so nice. Next best (and most used in terms of hours) is fluxbox. If it could have some sort of effect when workspaces changed and wobbly windows I'd use it no question. The later isn't even that needed.

If it helps you at all, I've been running the same poll at our site as well...222 votes so far, with GNOME and KDE leading the pack (as if that's surprising):
As for myself, I use xmonad and my wife uses GNOME.
Interesting, you have completly different results. But your poll is not "Arch centric", is it?

Ah, I did not think about FaunOS
293 votes so far. Thanks a lot!

I use openbox, I have both kdemod and openbox installed, I use kdemod for a full-blown DE and for tinkering with compiz, but X and nvidia doesn't seem to like me using composite, so I always go back to openbox, I'm more productive and organized there.
