sshfs network browsing?

I followed the wiki to set up sshfs with fuse. It seems to mount ok but when I browse to the folder I mounted it to I see the contents for less then half a second and then it kicks me out.

I know I am probably missing something stupid.

Any Ideas?

It helped to solve the same issue in Thunar.
