Setting up a client VPN

I am trying to set up my laptop to be a client VPN. I have kvpnc installed, the instructions for windows XP to the college  are here http://www.lhup.edu/computing_and_tech/ … ion_XP.doc If anyone could help me out, it would be great, I have been at this all night.  Thanks in advance.

Re: Setting up a client VPN

I really need some help with this.
So far I have kvpnc, but thats the farthest I have gotten. If someone could give me a step by step guide it would really help.

Re: Setting up a client VPN

Ok, I followed it, but as far as I can figure, there isn't a group name. Maybe I am missing something

Re: Setting up a client VPN

Well, vpnc is really designed for connecting to Cisco VPN Concentrators so...

The shared key is probably the equivalent of the group IPsec password. You could try commenting out the group name or you could try using the name of the active directory OU that your username belongs to. For example "Domain Users" or "students" or whatever. You may need to consult your IT department for that info.

Re: Setting up a client VPN

Thanks for the help, I believe you have pointed me in the right direction. I will talk to my one professor tomorrow after class, and if needed, contact the IT guys.
Thanks
