cant search nfs shares

Hi there!

i'm using nfs-utils 1.1.0-3 and can access a share on another machine (running archlinux and nfs-utils 1.1.0-3, too) with mount <ip-server>:/path/to/mount /mnt/point.
but on the other hand, i cant use showmount!

showmount -a <ip-server> gives me

rpc mount export: RPC: Program/version mismatch; low version = 3, high version = 3

any ideas how to solve this problem?
