P2P doesn't work on my machine

Hi there.

I can't get any P2P app to work on my arch box.
For example: Frostwire is stuck on the "Starting Connection".

I'm on DMZ with a 2WIRE router. Can't you tell me what to change on Arch config to get p2p to work?

Thanks

Re: P2P doesn't work on my machine

Have you enabled the appropriate ports on your router.  FROSTWIRE and other P2P applications will require that you OPEN the associated port eg 6346 and you need to make sure that the same port is used by the P2P application.

Hopefully you are able to connect your browser to the web?

Start your program at the terminal and see if any errors show up within it as it runs.

Hey...
I've already told you I'm on DMZ. Do you know what DMZ is?

I bow to your system and networking knowledge.  Looks like you have sorted your problem out then?
