Computer freezes hard when i open kopete config

Kopete 0.12.7 on kde 3.5.8 makes hard freeze (Mouse doesnt move, Alt ctrl fx, Alt ctrl esc, Alt ctrl del, Alt ctrl bksp dont work) when I open the configure dialog

Full story :

yesterday
I installed kde on a new arch installation pacman -S kde
I opened kopete. it immediately opened an add account wiz
I added my icq there
I go to the configure dialog --> accounts and add other icqs and msn
Kopete works well

Today
I use kopete it works normal
I go to the configure dialog to add the xmpp account
As the dialog window appears on the screen the computer immediately freezes
I reset it with the switch

I tried to - it just keeps freezing
Just retry
Restart kopete and then retry
Delete all dot-files related to kopete from home folder and retry

I think its . . . .
The config dialog has a few sections. one of them is webcam stuff which shows a preview (blue square as i have no cam)
This section is the 1 one so it is displayed as the dialog is opened
I think there may be somethng with the preview of the webcam that makes the freeze

Update : I added new user. It happens to him too

Update : I changed to the 1280 x 1024 xorg.conf ( c here http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=317158 ) Now it does not freeze

Any idea whats going on ?

Are you using a composite-enabled Xorg (Compiz, Compiz-Fusion, xcompmgr, kompmgr, Kwin + experimental composite)?
