Hello, I am having trouble connecting with WPA2 and Wicd. I've tested my card with WPA2 through windows on my dual boot. I've also tested this laptop with Ubuntu using the SAME ndiswrapper .inf file and had WPA2 working no problem. I already have Wicd working with WEP and no encryption with no problems. The issue is that it hangs on 'Obtaining an IP' and never proceeds. My goal is to have a easy setup for traveling to and from any location and just typing in the WPA2 key and not have issues anywhere. Thank you.

To verify if this is a wicd-issue, you could try netcfg2 (see the announcements-section). Sure, it has no GUI, but it is dead-easy to make the necessary profiles and let netcfg2 automatically choose the right profile on startup.
Also, is wpa_supplicant installed and is your /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf configured corectly?
Zl.

I've not tried netcfg2 yet but I did mess with wpa_supplicant some more and this is the error I receive...
[troy@green ~]$ sudo wpa_supplicant -Dndiswrapper -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

I had the same problem. If you look on their forums, all you see is connection problems. Wicd is not ready and it is a t v1.4. It's crap.
