Uhoh... hardware problems or libata problems?

I have just installed Archlinux on a p3 (coppermine) 800. It used to run debian but ofcourse that needed to change.
It's a pretty old system but that doesn't mean it's broken. Actually I doubt it because I haven't had an filesystem problem yet.

I never got these following errors on debian (which possibly used different modules. Debian's too vague to know anything certain IMO tongue) These show up every minute in syslog.

[kernel] ata1.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x0
[kernel] ata1.00: cmd e7/00:00:00:00:00/00:00:00:00:00/a0 tag 0

[kernel] ata1.00: error: { ABRT }
[kernel] ata1.00: configured for PIO0
[kernel] ata1.01: configured for UDMA/66
[kernel] ata1: EH complete
[kernel] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] 15698592 512-byte hardware sectors (8038 MB)

sda and sdb are both on 80pin cables (if that matters). there's also an sdc - without these problems!
sda is an oldie but like I said I never saw these problems on debian. Hope you can help me out.

you might see if the disk knows that its failing with smartctl from smartmontools, if it supports smart (quite likely).

Libata problem IMHO

Ok well I couldn't find any solution.. so I ended up regex'ing it into metalog so I can 'ignore' the problem. Bummer.
