Hi. I have a DWA-542 (D-Link Rangebooster N) on Arch 64-bit. I am using it with netcfg2 and wpa_supplicant. I have two problems here. One is that it takes way to long to load webpages like google, upwards 15-25seconds (I am on 2mbit cable).
The second is, when I configure it to load up on boot, it fails to connect and find the network. Once im booted up, and I try to do it again, it typically fails here too. However, oddly, on the third time it always works like a charm and im connected. This is my network-profile:
CONNECTION="wireless"
INTERFACE=ath0
SCAN="yes"
SECURITY="wpa"
ESSID="LinkSys"
KEY="mypassphrase"
IP="dhcp"
TIMEOUT=20
Oddly, pacman downloads at normal speeds of 500-600kb/s
But when it comes to using a web browser (ive tried like 4 different ones, all the same) or other web based acitivites I'm at like 5kb/s
ath0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"LinkSys" Nickname:""

Link Quality=42/70 Signal level=-54 dBm Noise level=-96 dBm

The link quaity seems low. I know I should be getting 100% link quality from this location.
