socat timeout option

I have heard that socat has a "timeout (-T)" option, but failed to make it work as the following command:

socat -T 3 UDP-RECVFROM:35353 -

Am I using the wrong command or it's socat's problem?

Re: socat timeout option

I don't use socat, but the man page has two timeout options, -t and -T. Make sure you're using the one you want.

Incidentally, this is not a programming question, so I'm moving it to Network etc, which seems most appropriate. It's also not an Arch-specific question, and although you may get an answer here, I'd suggest using other resources (i.e. googling) as well.
