netcfg menu at bootup

I am using the instructions here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Network_Profiles

I have no problem creating a profile and then calling it using netcfg2. I can also do "netcfg-menu profilename" in a treminal.

What I can't get working is the automatic menu on bootup. From the above link:

How do I get a menu at boot, like the old netcfg?
In rc.conf set NETWORKS=() to menu.

I also have "net-profiles" in the DAEMONS line in rc.conf

Try

NETWORKS=(menu)

and put an exclamation mark in front of !network in daemons

and choose a profile from /etc/network.d/examples and move it to /etc/network.d. If you use wep --> mv /etc/network.d/examples/wep.example /etc/network.d/wep or whatever you want to call it if you don't like it to be called wep. After that edit it to suit your wireless setup.
