Problem with b43/b43legacy and bcm4306 wireless card

Hi,

I own a Linksys WMP54GS card, also known as bcm4306. As bcm43xx is now deprecated, it is better to use b43/b43legacy instead. I had to reinstall Arch, so I used 2008-03 CD. Installation program added bcm43xx to modules list, but udev also loaded b43 driver.

But here comes the problem : if you have a bcm4306 rev 4 (or more) card you must use b43 driver, and if you have bcm4306 rev 3 (or less) card, you must use b43legacy. The problem is that b43legacy doesn't work : it fails for every operation I try (setting up with ifconfig, setting ssid with iwconfig...). So I tryed b43. If I can (surprising isn't it ?) activate radio link, set the ssid etc... I can't connect to my acces point. It requires a WPA passkey (and ssid is hidden) and wpa_supplicant fails to find a suitable acces point when it scans. More precisely, it finds acces points, but their ssid are empty.

A bug for Ubuntu is opened (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/182716) and it seems to be a kernel bug. But when I blacklisted ssb and b43/b43legacy and activated bcm43xx, I noticed that no network interface corresponding to my wireless card was created. I think it is linked to udev but I'm not sure.

So, here are my questions :
   * do you know how to make b43 driver work with bcm4306 (rev less than 4) cards ?
   * do you know how to make bcm43xx driver work again if b43 doesn't work ?

Thank you very much for your answers.

NB : sorry for my English...
