Hi.
I want to use a wireless network but it do not work as expected. With windows it works without any problem but with arch I get disconnect every minute und and then I must wait ca 2 minutes to be able to reconnect.
But that problem is not a general, its only with this specific network.
I use th rt2x00 driver with wicd. Any ideas?
Thanks Andreas

wicd and networkmanager are both known for some problems and are another layer in which the problems can arise.
Do you have the same problem when connecting manually or if you use netcfg2?

The rt2x00 are very buggy.
I have had similar problems to yours when trying to use them.
Use should add them with a '!' to the MODULES section of rc.conf (so they won't get loaded),
and use the legacy rt73 drivers (available at the rt2x00 site).
If you have any more problems, I'd be happy to help.
