'rc.shutdown': Stopping Network [FAILED]

I've been wondering about this for awhile, after noticing bug #168 http://www.archlinux.org/phpbt/bug.php? … &bugid=168.

1.  Why does the 'Stopping Network' segment always [FAILED] on shutdown?  The error seems to indicate that the script cannot find the 'pid' file.

cat: /etc/dhcpc/dhcpcd-eth0.pid: No such file or directory

I'm using a single NIC as 'eth0=dhcp' and it is the same result on multiple, different machines.

Just wondering.  I'm sure there's a logical reason(!?).

Thanx.

I've been wondering why it does that but haven't bothered to ask because it isnt causing any problems.

The suggestion box only accepts patches.

Do you get it with the latest version of initscripts (0.7-5) ?
