dunno if this is isolated for me only, but does anyone else have this same problem?
i open up gnome-terminal, and without typing anything else if i press backspace it will flash the screen.
it does it with xterm too, but not with konsole.
does anyone else have this problem?

One way to get rid of it is to run 'xset -b' after X is started (e.g. from ~/.xinitrc)
