[SOLVED] Wicd

Hello,

I have the wicd daemon loading on startup however I'm not sure how to get it to auto-connect to my wireless network without having to load it via the applications menu - any ideas?

Thanks.

What do they mean by "DE/WM startup" - desktop/window maker startup?  How can I do this in Gnome?

DE/WM means Desktop Environment/Window Manager

In your case, GNOME is a DE. You can configure GNOME to load applications on startup by going to:

System -> Preferences -> Sessions -> Startup Programs -> Add

or

Control Center -> Sessions -> Startup Programs -> Add

Either method will do the trick, just enter your program details and the next time you log in it will be executed automatically.
