Arch Installation doesn't detect my Sata HD

i have a Sata connected 120 GB maxtor hard drive connected to a MSI Neo-2 motherboard ..
i downloaded the latest iso of arch, started the installation and in the partition section i have no hd to select the partitions from ...

what's wrong ? please help me ..
i'd love to install arch..

I have a sata drive, and I used the ide kernel. Don't think it's that. Maybe the problem is that the drive is detected as /dev/hde


And where were all the sportsmen who always pulled you though?

You may need to patch the kernel.  Try the arch-scsi option though.

I have a patched kernel for SII 3512.  I had to install to an ide drive, patch and recompile the kernel, then transfer to my SATA drive (/dev/hde)

does arch-scsi only come on the full cd?

cause I tried it on the base iso and it can't find arch-scsi kernel image :?

edit: nevermind I'll just load vmlinuz_scsi
