I just got a new ThinkPad laptop. I installed Arch on it the day I got it Everything's going pretty well, but I can't get wireless working on it.
When I run iwconfig, it just says that eth0 and lo don't have wireless extensions, which is right, but it's not detecting my wireless chipset at all.
I've installed iwlwifi and iwlwifi-4965-ucode and added iwl4965 and mac80211 to the modules list, but still no dice detecting the wireless card.
I'd like to avoid ndiswrapper, but I will use it if this turns out to be impossible.
If you need any more information, I'll be happy to supply it.
Thanks!
EDIT:
Turns out there's a hardware switch that you need to turn on. Heh...
