LXDE with Openbox and Tint.
GTK Theme: Elegant-Blue
Openbox theme: Elegant Mine
Fonts: Dejavu Sans
Wallpaper from interfacelift.com.I haven't yet found a system tray that doesn't look ugly, esp. when using pixmap GTK themes... Any suggestions?
(I would be using pypanel, except I can't make it sit on the bottom layer like tint does.)
Great desktop man, simple and elegant: i like it... but, I can't figure out what's your icon theme. Can you share it?
Ah I knew I forgot something... It's Allblack by Mandarancid. Enjoy.

So, Mac not capable of a fullscreen shot in real size? Poor thing...

@arsenist: is this awesome-git from AUR? If so, how did you manage to install the package? Even with a workaround of the cairo packages I am not able to install it... (You may also answer this in another thread, when appropiate; please send me a message when doing so).
Thanks a lot (and nice screenshot, by the way)!

Lol, clever boy... Looks like Apple forgot to compile Leopard with --enable-large-screenshot-for-bbs-dot-archlinux-org
The reason it is small is because I chose to upload a small thumbnail. Attached is a new one ;-).

@Marcel-: Thanks :)
Yes from AUR, but you need to modify stuff from the PKGBUILD, first i compiled cmake myself (if i remeber well, the version specified as a dependency in the PKGBUILD was higher than the one provided by pacman). And also changed the PKGBUILD of the xcb-utils dependency, you must use the git repo from freedesktop.org not the one from naquadah. I think that's all, but if you experience any other problem join #awesome on OFTC.net and me or someone else will help you :).
@ST.x: here is my rc.ua for awesome: http://pastebin.com/m5f886842
I used some pieces of conf from around the web, and added some things.
And here is the file i use for my zsh: http://pastebin.com/m4c888c9c
And in my .zshrc i have 'source THAT_FILE'. Where THAT_FILE is the one on pastebin :) Hope I'm clear (:

This is a brand new Arch installation on my Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop:
Details:
LXDE (Openbox + lxpanel)
Openbox theme - Onyx
GTK2 theme - Glossy
Icon theme - Tango
Wallpaper - "Estrada 21" from interfacelift.com
Open applications - lxtask, lxterm, PCManFM
I decided to try Arch on this laptop a couple of days ago and I have to say that using Arch has been a very pleasant experience so far. I'm glad I decided to give it a try!!
Solutions nearly always come from the direction you least expect, which means there's no point trying to look in that direction because it won't be coming from there.

Well, I just couldn't resist the urge to change again this month, SO I DID!
I think I managed to maintain a good level of simplicity whilst adding a certain dash of eye candy.
Info:
Window Manager: Compiz-Fusion as a standalone WM
Panel: xfce4-panel - a taskbar (I've got a lot of free time this coming year and I want to make one of my own. More on that as it develops.)
Emerald theme: ClarifiedE an emerald version of the openbox theme I made. REALLY simple, link coming soon.
Fonts: Artwiz-fonts I couldn't resist. They are so cool! But, they won't change size for some reason; maybe they aren't supposed to .
GTK theme: In screenshot
Icon theme: in screenshot
Apps: Pidgin, firefox, mirage, thunar, xfterm4
The comic is copyrighted and courtesty of Three Panel Soul. One of my favorites.
