Intel D945GCLF: Ethernet sporadic even with kernel 2.6.25 [solved]

I just got myself a Intel D945GCLF motherboard (the one with the built-in Atom processor), and the ethernet port has only worked once so far. I'm using the kernel 2.6.25.

http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=50431 << This thread says that 2.6.24.5 works, but I have a later version and my experience differs.

http://softwarecommunity.intel.com/isn/ … 57522.aspx << I think I'm having the same problem as this guy.

I'm typing this on another computer so it's difficult to print out the result of ifconfig, but there's one line which says:

RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:4294967276 overruns:0 frame:0

Which seems to point to a driver or hardware problem. On the other hand, the computer I'm typing this on returns 0 dropped received packets, even with heavy use of the internet.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Oops...perhaps I posted too early. Upgraded to 2.6.26 and everything works (so far).
