Hi,
I can scan and see the network but I cant connect to it?
Commands ive used:
To check my module: iwl4965
#hwdetect --show-net
The wireless card shows as wlan0
To scan the networks, mine and my neighbours ESSID, I can see them!
#iwlist scan
To configure my network entered and replaces the name and the key with my own!
#iwconfig wlan0 essid <name> key <wpa2key>
To get a new ip-adress
#dhcpcd wlan0
The dhcpcd hangs and ends up with an arpa adress 169.x...I'm running a class C network!
What have I missed?

I think the method you outlined above is good for WEP networks only, if you use WPA2 you probably have to use wpa_supplicant. Also, it might be worth investigating netcfg, which makes configuring WPA networks easier.

Tried with wpa_supplicant and the netcfg2 with no progress.
Also noticed that several users with the same wil4965 chipset had the same issue.
Anyone found a solution for this? And is it related with wpa/wpa2? Don't wanna run my network in wep mode!
