Still no succes. Is there any info I can post that can be of any help to pinpoint the problem?

Yeah. OK. But any specific info...?
I suppose it is some kind of router setting. Since I don have access to the router, I won't be able to check. My connection works ok in other places.

Am a new Arch Linux user. I am using a Dell Inspiron 6400 with an Intel 3945 wireless card. Manual connection with wpa_supplicant works but netcfg2( despite all attempts using all the suggestions here and elsewhere) does not work. wpa_supplicant is not started by the netcfg2 script. But there are no error messages.

I don't know if that helps debugging, but as I wrote in the thread http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=54772 netcfg-auto-wireless works fine with my profile similar to the one you tried. With netcfg2 myprofile I have the same problems - it doesn't connect to my wireless network.
