pacman connection [SOLVED]

Hi all,
I'm sorry to open a post with a trivial question...maybe.

I'm at university, I want to install some application, but pacman doesn't connect! I've no problem on my pc, when I'm at home all it's ok. I'm thinking that it could be caused by a closed port. Which is the pacman connection port? if i'm wrong, what you can suggest?

Thanks in advance

Pacman connect by either http or ftp depending on your mirror.   Can you access internet while at uni on your laptop?

Re: pacman connection [SOLVED]

Try using an HTTP mirror in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist, see http://www.archlinux.de/?page=MirrorCheck
