Yesterday i had a problem with my arch installation, so i decided to reinstall. But, now, i can't get mi interface wlan0 up on boot.
I'd double checked my config files, i even tried with a diferent driver (rt61-cvs instead of rt61pci) but only doing manual does my interface get up, on both drivers!!
in rc.conf:
wlan0="wlan0 192.168.2.46 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.2.255"
INTERFACES=(wlan0)
gateway="default gw 192.168.2.1"
ROUTES=(gateway)
in conf.d/wireless:
wlan_wlan0="wlan0 essid myessid"
WLAN_INTERFACES=(wlan0)
I have to run ifconfig and iwconfig to get my wireless running! Does anyone have some clues?!
Thanks in advance

I have the same problem since last system update (2-3 days ago) also with an r61 card. I have to manually configure and run dhclient to get it working.
Also whenever I type netcfg2 casa (my home profile) it just freezes the whole computer.

It seems to be a bug on the network daemon, reported in http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/11273!
