Hi,
Trying to start webmin (from the repositories; pacman -S webmin): https://localhost.localdomain:10000/
Secure Connection Failed
localhost.localdomain:10000 uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because it is self signed.
(Error code: sec_error_untrusted_issuer)
What could be the problem?

That's normal. There should be an "Add Exception" button.
If it isn't there run firefox in safe-mode and/or uninstall any addon that changes the layout of error pages.

Thanks! "Add Exception" worked - on one box. On another (Arch too) it's:
Failed to Connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost.localdomain:10000.Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection.
No "Add Exception" there (Firefox, normal and safe alike).
Any ideas?

Did you confirm you tried to connect via ssl, i.e. https://localhost.localdomain:10000 ? If you did, try it without ssl.
Also confirm the setup of Webmin and make sure it's listening on port 10000.
Some other ideas...Make sure networking is working OK and localhost.localdomain resolves properly. Make sure webmin/port 100000 is allowed in /etc/hosts.allow.

I just reinstalled webmin; now it's OK... Probably, webmin happened to be one of the lot which suffered after downgrading from KDE4 to kdemod3 .
