Once again, thanks for your outstanding support.
Thanks,

Great job. I think that if the newsletter is going to be late again, I will need to get access to the git repo so I can read it ahead of time. It was hard to wait for my monthly fix
PS. I have fixed the month in the title of the news item on the front page.

Now that it's been brought to my attention, I totally agree with Snowman that poutine is more worthwhile than tacos.

Arch Linux Schwag Report
[...]
Other Schwag
[...]
Finally, I've been researching placing an order for some Arch Linux USB keys. The current limitation is the initial investment; I would like to make enough money off existing Arch Schwag offerings to reinvest in new products. At the moment I'm planning on selling 2GB flash drives at $25 each. I don't have a timeline yet, but they should be available by the end of the year.
Idea: since 2GB is small-ish nowadays, this would definitely need to be an option, but why not offer to have Arch preloaded onto the key?
Given that Arch is a rolling release system, you never need to worry about image age ("image" referring to the file run onto all the keys), at least if you assume everyone has an internet connection

What about Ease of Use? Well, have it as you like as well. You can have a very basic desktop, performing only tasks you deem necessary; browsing the web, reading emails and instant messaging for example. But we also have in the official repositories, complemented with the likesArch Users Repository, all the applications needed to create an Arch Linux system that can automatically mount devices such as USB flash drives, digital cameras, portable music players, and much more. Also the applications necessary for syncing palm pilots, PDAs, cell phones and similar devices as well. And to the surprise of many users, all of these features are available in basic desktop installation. In other words just installing XFCE4, KDE4, GNOME or LXDE will give you all those functionalities we just talked about.
*ahem*
Featured Interview
Eric Belanger1. Why did you choose Arch Linux in the first place?
Before using Arch Linux, I was using Slackware. It is a nice distro but the number of official packages is rather limited. I did try to install packages that I could find on the net but most of the time they were for older version of Slackware so they were not always working are expected.
Devland
Arch Linux Development News[...]
* François did a great job in bringing texlive 2008 into extra., thereby replacing the old and upstream unmainted tetex.
* Due to a bug all packages in the repositories were orphaned. Although the bug was fixed quickly, there of packages are still waiting to be adopted again. On a related note, new ways to organize the maintainership of packages are discussed.
I won't use bold to highlight the problematic element in the first line, the fullstop then comma after "extra", since it'd be too hard for you to notice it.
The second line is self explanatory.
Community Highlights
[...]
* erm67 wants to install Arch Linux in his Sun Ultra SPARC 2. Hopefully he will succeed and this can lead to a port of Arch Linux to that architecture.
[...]
* Hugo Doria informs us about the Arch-Sheriff project, "a script to match NetBSD vulnerability database against Arch Linux packages."
Purely my own opinion, but I prefer "on". "in" works fine though
And in the 2nd line, I think a "the" wouldn't be out of place.

Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.

Good job on the newsletter. Always a nice read. Missed the "Bounced" section though. Is it dead?
Cool to read there will be a Arch USB stick available. Looking forward to that one.

Cause its way less work for me if you load it on there yourself?

We're all Canadian... just look at it this way: Poutine is the Canadian equivalent of tacos. So technically we're all on the same side, old chap.
The weird thing about this is that the other day Eduardo and I were discussing newsletter issues on jabber and he mentioned being hungry so I suggested poutine... completely independently of Eric, since I hadn't proofread his interview yet.
I think its a sign. Arch was born in Canada after all.

I noticed a quote is missing:

by: Eduardo "kensai Romero
Also, the accent is missing in my name: Bélanger. It's not a big deal as it's also missing from the dev page where you probably got it.
Dusty: Could you fix that too?

I'll try to get to it in the morning, I've been swamped today.
I forgot to tell dav7 thanks for all the extra proofreading, so... thanks dav7. :-) I was really rushed when I did it yesterday and apparently didn't care enough to do it perfectly... ;-)

I have fixed all typos in git already. Somehow Eduardo did not give me write permission to that directory on the server so I can't scp it in.

Just a note: The forum links in the fun section doesn't work
works for me. Can someone confirm?
