RT73 wifi

I just installed Arch on my laptop, only has wireless, so until I can't configure the network could not be able to install the graphic server  or anything ... (I chose in the installation base system and wireless-tools package).

My card has the RT73 chip, which in theory has support from the kernel 2.6.25 (which I installed).

The fact is that I do:
iwconfig-> shows me my card and recognized it as wlan0
ifconfig wlan0 up-> SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory

Any idea? Thanks

Re: RT73 wifi

You probably need firmware too (pacman -S rt2x00-rt71w-fw). Check dmesg for more info.

Re: RT73 wifi

I don't know if it's in the installation media. If it isn't, you could perhaps move it on a pendrive or through wired network.
