Thx... But there is a new problem, xfce4-session-svn must be recompiled against the new xfconf-svn. Otherwise, xfce4-session won't start.

Rebuilding right now...

xfce4-svn and sfce4-goodies-svn groups don't seem to work in the repo. Am I doing something wrong maybe?

Nevermind. I'm a poop-head! One must pacman -Syu to sync the repositories!
Thanks!

I'm receiving an identical error, though only with the i686 packages on my laptop, not the x86_64 packages on my desktop.
Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? I wasn't even aware there was a thunar-wallpaper-plugin.

I can confirm that and I'm looking into it right now. I don't see anything unusual in the svn log, so it might take a while. ^^
Edit: Oh, and it's on x86_64. revasser, do you have all updates / packages installed?
Edit2: Happens with an old version of thunar, too. I'll have a look into xfconf...

Well, I haven't updated the 64-bit packages on my desktop for a week or so, but the 32-bit installation is brand new as of this afternoon, so perhaps it's something in a recent update.
Thanks for your hard work muflax

I just want to find out what specific update is to blame. ;) I have not been successful so far and as xfconf goes through some major changes right now, I'm not sure if it's a packaging bug or a genuine Xfce bug.
Edit: The last updates should have fixed it. :)

thanks a lot, works like a charm now.

the ./configure option --libexecdir=/usr/lib/xfce4 should be /usr/lib, or it will cause /usr/lib/xfce4 have multilayer of xfce4. but this just for good looking. : )

seems xfce-svn wont need libxfce4mcs any more , new xfce4 just need xfconf and xfce4-setting-manager

new bugs:
1.ristretto-svn should depends on libxfce4gui-svn or libxfce4util-svn should provide libxfce4util, not libxfce4util=4.4.2, the fact is ristretto cant install.
--------------------------->>>>>>that my own problem, i didnt install libxfcegui4. a litter wierd why pacman notice me that libxfce4util conflict with libxfce4util-svn...
2.thunar-thumbnailer , ./autogen.sh option should add --libexecdir=/usr/lib/xfce4 to get rid of /usr/libexec as offical repo does.
someone put all the svn PKGBUILD in AUR, if there is some changes, would you please update them?
thank you for your nice work.

I didn't know they are also in AUR. I didn't think they were polished enough to put them up and it's a little meaningless if you're building them yourself. The only purpose of this repo is to save you some time.
I also don't monitor those and don't want to, but whatever you report here, I'll try to fix.
Edit: Fixed everything you mentioned; building right now.
Edit to your edit ^^: The svn build still should depend on the svn lib, so I changed it nonetheless. Unless someone doesn't like that.
Edit 3 (I think I should make a new post once in a while so everyone notices it, but I've been well indoctrined to never double-post. Oh well.): I removed mcs for real and fixed the PKGBUILDs accordingly. I should increase the pkgrel every time I do this, but I don't have a simple script for that yet, so I don't. Sorry, clean your cache and reinstall all pkgs please. Upload is finished soon, but it has to fight over resources with rtorrent. ^^

Why should I clean my cache? A simple pacman -Syu is showing updates, will this not update it? Sorry for my n00biness.
Thanks a ton for the repo. I started using it yesterday and I love it.

Sometimes I rebuild a package without changing the name. Pacman would then tell you it's corrupted. If you don't have any such error, you're fine.

Alright. Thanks a ton again for the repo.
EDIT: Upgrade killed my menu It's not in my "Add Items to the Panel" dialog either. It's not really a big deal though, as I have shortcuts to three programs I actually *use*, but it looks better to have a menu icon there too

that's wont be problem, because SVN version will soon change, then we can get the new package. just keep the pkgrel=1.
edit: little problem. can be ignored
ristretto-svn depens : thunar-svn provides:ristretto=0.0.20
and why xfconf depends on glib-perl perl-extutils-depends perl-extutils-pkgconfig? it seems just for perl binding, so just makedepends. and this should add a depend: libxfce4util-svn
xfconf pkgdesc="Basic utility non-GUI functions for Xfce"
xfconf ./configure --libexec=/usr/lib/xfce4 , because it will build a xfconfd to $(libexecdir) instead of $(bindir).
edit2:
many packages should make with xfce4-settings, like xfdesktop, xfce4-panel. instead of libxfce4mcs. i mean add xfce4-settings to makedepens. i cant get your PKGUBILDs, have to guess..

@jarryson
Most packages already have xfce4-settings-svn as makedepends. ^^ I'm aware that not all dependencies are correct and unless I happened to notice something wrong, I did not check them. I should probably check them with namcap or something, but I don't have the time to do so. I just expected them to work like the non-svn ones. ^^
First, I added a line to my build script to upload the current version of all build relevant files, including PKGBUILDs. It's available under http://www.stud.uni-karlsruhe.de/~uvcal … ild.tar.gz. Deep insights into the secret process of putting together a svn repo! Order now and your packages come with free laser beams attached to their source!
Second, xfconf does in fact only depend on those for perl bindings. Are they not needed anymore after building? If so, I'll put them into makedepends.
Third, fixed the other issues. Thanks for all the feedback!
