automatic DHCP does not work

i used to configure the computer like that

rc.conf

eth0="dhcp"
DAEMONS=(!syslog-ng @network @netfs !crond dbus hal kdm3)

when i boot up and use it for a while and then plug in the network cable it detects it automatically and i can immediately start surfing

i installed new setup or arch and configured it the same and it no longer works (i need to dhcpcd -k and dhcpcd to make it work)

how to make it work automatically again ?

Re: automatic DHCP does not work

Wrong advice, sorry smile

Second edit: try adding "INTERFACES=(eth0)" line, that's what I have.

Re: automatic DHCP does not work

Have you tried netcfg instead of the (old) network-daemon? I can highly recommend it...
