[SOLVED]mkfs.vfat missing

Which package do I have to install so I can format to win file systems: FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS

I have those options grayed out in gparted and no mkfs options for these FS.

Any ideas?

Re: [SOLVED]mkfs.vfat missing

pacman -S dosfstools gets you mkfs.vfat and mkfs.msdos
pacman -S ntfsprogs gets you mkfs.ntfs

Check out the create a file system entry in the wiki for other filesystems.

In the future you can use pkgfile from community/pkgtools to find which package owns a file.

Re: [SOLVED]mkfs.vfat missing

Come to this old post from google search. The bad thing is that, when I search "vfat" with pacman, the dosfstools is not listed. If vfat is included somewhere somehow in dosfstools to make it shown for searching vfat. This question will not be asked.

And there is a solution for that as well - Simply use pkgfile

There is no need to bump a 3 year old thread for a problem that is not quite related to the thread anyway. A simple search would also have given you results.
