Question: Is the autostart editor/functionality not yet implemented in xfce4-svn?
Thanks again, muflax, for your work on this. I'm enjoying using it very much.

Nevermind, I found it again.

Hmm. The latest xfce4-svn update apparently killed my menu again. This time, though, I haven't been able to restore it. I tried what worked before (reinstalling gamin), restarting xfdesktop a few times, etc.
Has anyone else had this happen? Is there an obvious fix?
The menu doesn't appear on the panel, it's not available as a panel add-in, and it doesn't show up when I right-click on the desktop.
Thanks.

Hm, I have disabled the menu editor recently again, but I don't think that broke anything. However, there was an internal change that affects libxfce4menu. I've made sure that xfdesktop is now built correctly. Please try again by updating libxfce4menu and xfdesktop.

Cool thing this repo, I will try it out this evening. If there are any problems, I'll tell you, of course

Thank you, muflax, that seems to have done the job.
And thanks again for maintaining this repo.

Have it running now, seems to be really good! But I was wondering, why does Xfce have two archive managers? On 4.4 I preferred squeeze, because the archive plugin of Thunar worked better with that one, but still, why are there two of them? And secondly, Thunar always jumps up to 100% CPU usage, whenever I do something? Could it be because of hal, which doesn't work here right now, because I'm on [testing] and didn't get it to work so far? I cannot deactivate hal to test that, because my xorg needs it for hotplugging.

Many thank you for this repo!!! It solved my problem with moving window between two LCDs. Keep up great work!

thinking about giving it a go. What can I expect of news things compared to stable? How rocky is the ride these days?

It misses an graphical menu editor, it has better gui for other stuff, better multidisplay support.

When I used this repo it was extremely stable. The archiver had a problem for a bit, but I had no problems using it daily. I tried it for a month, but just couldn't shake wanting to use Gnome.

I'm having a menu problem as well. Right click doesn't work, but unlike the others in this thread, it IS listed in my panel add-ons, although once I add it, nothing happens when I click it. Could anyone post a copy of their xfce-applications.xml (or whatever this thing uses by default) in case mine's just corrupt for some reason?

install gamin:
pacman -S gamin

Would be good to have xfce4-power-manager included in repo if it's not a problem

xfce4-power-manager-svn is now part of the repo. I also renamed verve-plugin-svn to xfce4-verve-plugin-svn and updated it.
Edit: Sorry, forgot to upload. Now it's really there.

I've got some problems with keyboard shortcuts - they don't work at all with xfce4 keyboard settings. Maybe somebody knows why and how to solve it?

Okay, now that my Menus WORK (which is awesome, thanks Muflax for your hard work), how do I edit them? I'm used to something like the OB/PekWM menu system where I can just have links to commands, where this seems to use the .desktop files in /usr/share/applications (if I understand correctly). Is there a way I can manually edit the menu to only include the limited list of entries I require?
ALSO, is there a way I can get my applications menu on a desktop right-click again? I can get it as a submenu of the regular desktop menu, but there used to be an option for REPLACING that desktop menu.

Are all packages in your repo remain to one group (like xfce4-svn)? If not, how can I install all of them?
Offline
There are two groups, xfce4-svn and xfce4-goodies-svn, just like for normal xfce4. xfce4-svn should be installed as a whole, unless you know what you are doing. The groups cover all packages in my repo with the exception of thunar-notrash-svn, orage-svn and xfburn-svn.

Could you add xfce4-places-plugin-svn and xfce4-clipman-plugin-svn to the repo please?
E: vv Awesome, thanks.

Done.

Just now installed, I'm not seeing the menu editor... is it there in this repo? Can't tell from earlier posts if you have re-enabled it.
Thanks!

I changed nothing. I'm still not building xfdesktop with it, but as I'm not using it either, I can't tell if it should be there in the first place. Perhaps someone else can say more about that. I will, however, try again to activate it. Perhaps it was fixed recently.
Edit: Yup, works again. There will be an update in a few minutes, please install xfdesktop again and try it out.
