clarification please

im sorry to report, that i have not only dishonored myself but i have also dishonored our fellow Archers. i wiped arch and tried to go slackware 8.1. what a friggin disaster. but im confused why it has 'Arch Linux 0.3' in the bootup?? is one based on the other or is it peer coincidence??

intriguing... but im curious if arch has ntfs support and if so is it ro or rw and if its rw would u recommend writing to an ntfs volume??

It has read support for NTFS compiled as a module (modprobe ntfs).  It is not recommended to write to an NTFS volume.  But, if you want to then you can recompile the kernel with write support enabled.
