Hi there,
I'm using wicd 1.5.3 on a Thinkpad X61s using Intel 4965 AGN. At home, I connect to a wireless network with a hidden essid "HomeNet", then I have my laptop go on standby when I leave home for work. Upon arriving at work, I wake up my computer. I've previously set wicd to "Automatically connect to this network" for the workplace network "WorkNet" (NOT a hidden essid). However, wicd thinks it's still connected to the home network and doesn't disconnect from it & connect automatically to the router at work. Is there something I need to add in for the pre-/post- connection or upon disconnection scripts for either my home or work wireless profiles?
If I shutdown my computer completely at home, and boot it back up at work, then wicd connects to WorkNet.
I have tried this the other way around (i.e. standby at work, wake up at home) and the problem remains.
The only solution is to click disconnect in wicd, refresh, and connect to the proper network from the list below.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
