IBM T21 Thinkpad (800 Mhz) (256Mb RAM)
It's an oldie but goodie. Everything works and wireless is with a motorola pcmcia card using broadcom b43 driver. It's good to take on the road since if it "disappears", it isn't really worth anything anymore, but I've had it for years and originally bought it off ebay. Doesn't owe me anything.

Dell Latitude E5500 was quite difficult to set up because of the recent GM45 intel graphics. Everything works much better with libdrm-git and xf86-video-intel-git . There are still a few problems, though, but they should gradually disapear with the next version of the kernel.

Sony Vaio SZ61 XN/C. Everything besides fingerprint authentication works (libfprint doesn't support the upek device because of modifications made by Sony). Sometimes a little configuration was necessary to get things to work (such as brightness), but it certainly wasn't hard to figure out.

HP8510W everything works, altough i haven't tested the fingerprint reader and pcmia slot. But still it is a great laptop wich runs arch perfect:)

I have a Dell Inspiron 13 with everything working except the integrated webcam, which I haven't done much to figure out yet. Arch recognizes all the multimedia keys, which I've bound with xbindkeys, and everything is functional.

Pessario A900, using Gnome, with great help from IRC and the wiki, no serious issues, mutimedia keys needed to be set up manually , used prefs> system > Keyboard Shortcuts. I use Linux since 2002 and Arch is imo by far the best distro, and am still wondering why I have not tried it before.

Dell Latitude D610.
This is the vanilla D610 from about 2 years ago, they updated the D610 with a newer procesor. Basically Pentium-M 1.8 Ghz, 512 RaM + onboard intel 945GM video card (shared). Everything worked out of the box (except for hibernate of course but i just followed the wiki and it was fine for the most part). I have a custom kernel updated from the stable tree and one from linus' original tree of course. (i use the stable tree one).

Fujitsu Siemens P7120:
Everything works, except cardreader/firewire (Ricoh)
I have a two year old low-end Fujitsu Siemens laptop and have to recommend looking elsewhere. The DSDT is Microsoft-comaptible, i.e. Linux-unfriendly, the graphics are ATI, and the wifi activation was a works-in-windows-only button until somebody provided a hack module.
I dont know if they have mended their ways but for look out for any of these signs if you plan to buy FS (or any other brand).

I am running arch on a Dell XPS M1530. You mostly see the 1330s, but I needed something bigger. I got the gorgeous 1920x1200 display. Only problem is finding wallpaper big enough :-)
got the 2.4 Core 2 Duo, 320 GB HD, and 4 GB ram. I definitely do NOT need that ram to run arch, but I got it preinstalled with windows and I still use windows for gaming, so I need that ram sometimes. I love the computer, everything is very slick and runs very well. And this is the first linux distro that has everything working just the way I want!
I know there are laptops out there with better linux hardware than my dell, but if you like a sexy laptop to combine with a sexy distro, this is great.

Dell M1330 with intel x3100 graphic chipset. Works well. Didn't tried the fingerprint because I'm not using it.
I'm quite happy with arch on this machine. The developers are very kind and the community great.
Thank you all.

Otherwise fine.

Arch64 on a Dell Inspiron E1705 (a.k.a. 9400?) here, ATI Radeon X1400, Intel 3945 wireless (had an Atheros AR5008 card that worked better in Windows, but the ath9k driver is still a bit immature in Linux, so put the Intel back in). Everything works that I need (it's a damn good thing, too, as looking at HAL and udev configs gives me a headache).
I had to remap volume control to the alsa PCM channel instead of Master (Master just cuts out the treble). Window resizing and certain other X operations occasionally eat all of one CPU core and are noticeably laggy, but otherwise fine (radeonhd driver). Haven't tried to get the "multimedia" buttons or suspend/resume working yet.
I must say -- I haven't liked Linux this much since I used Slackware way back when. I update this thing every couple days and it still almost never breaks, and if it does, a quick wiki or forum check gets me going again. The Arch devs are doing a truly incredible job. Thanks!
