Having some friends starting to use Arch after being used to Ubuntu / Fedora and one of the biggest questions seems to have been the equivalent commands for pacman compared to apt-get or yum etc
So, I started a wiki page - hopefully it might be of use to others too. I've only made a basic start - if you can think of anything else, or have experience with Gentoo or Slackware, please expand it

Oh well poo. I don't know what "rosetta" means. I'd never have thought to look for that
How do we delete a wiki page?
Perhaps the "rosetta" page should be renamed?

Dont delete, just redirect to that page.

this used to be a good source. not sure why the gentoo wiki removed it and archived it though.

The gentoo wiki was completely lost recently when there hosting server went out of business, no backups. They have since rebuilt the archive with google caches and such, pretty sad actually. It was one of the best linux wiki's for everything.

Does anyone know if Archlinux has backups?
