I'm building a small media server for my house. I've read through the RAID and LVM entries in the wiki. It doesn't outright say this, but there should be no problems using them together, correct? I'm planning to set up for drives in RAID5, totalling about 2TB of storage. I'm ripping my dvd and cd and perhaps BD collections to this. Sometime in the future, when I fill up my 2TB I'd like to add a second RAID5 array, and then use LVM to pool the two together. I've seen this suggested on a couple of home theater related sites as a good method.
Also in the wiki entry it explains the order to install and setup RAID and LVM when installing OS to the same drives. In my case I'm installing the OS to its own small hard drive, so I can install OS first, and then setup my RAID and LVM just like the wiki says?
Thanks for the help, just wanted to check that my plan was legit before I get started.
