Hey guys,
So I just got my brand new Lenovo x200 in the mail. Awesome. Only problem is my ethernet is not showing up. ifconfig -a produces nothing but the loopback interface.
I'm loading the e1000e modle, and still nothing. Any help?

SOLVED: I fixed this by downloading a newer version of the e1000e module than is available in the kernel. Fine. Now my wireless is still not working. I have no idea where to get some iwl5000 drivers. They seemingly do not exist. Any help?

I'm a beginner concerning linux and I also tried to install Archlinux (learning by doing) with the FTP method.
I have the exact same problem as described in the first post. I used the archlinux-2008.06-ftp-x86_64.img
No Lan interface found... Could you tell me how I can get it working?
After looking around because of the WiFi, I found the following: http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/8/13/435 looks like it should work with Kernel 2.6.27
Oh yeah and while am already asing stuff: with the 2008.06 archlinux version, is it possible to create ext4 fs during installation?
Thank you

It detects both adapters now. But I get
iwlagn: iwlwifi-5000-1.ucode firmware file req failed: Reason -2
iwlagn: Could not read microcode: -2
SIOCSIFFLAGS: no such file or directory
when I use ifconfig wlan0 up
and btw. when I need to use a wpa key, what kind of syntax do I need to use? (iwconfig wlan0 essid "SSID" ?????)
