There is a version in [testing] if you want to try that.

Re: NetworkManager 0.7 where to find?

I had enabled the testing repo now...It seems that it also download latest packages from testing if I'm going to install packages...I'm kinda feel unsafe...:|

Do I really need the version of hal from the [testing] because when I had download the networkmanager, hal from testing was also included...

Now that I had everything installed, starting nm-applet via console shows this error:

nm-applet: symbol lookup error: nm-applet: undefined symbol: dbus_method_dispatcher_new

Re: NetworkManager 0.7 where to find?

unfortionately there's no reasonable way in arch to say "only take these packages + deps from testing, the rest from core", like there is in gentoo.

on the other hand, testing has been rock solid for me, been running it for months.

about that error message - have you tried installing dbus from testing (as the words "dbus" and "new" are pretty close together there)? failing that, you could try a full update from testing.

Not yet schuay...Ok, I'm upgrading now including [testing] on my repo...I hope everything will work fine...:D

I've checked the packages on the [testing], dbus is nowhere to be found..:/

Same problem here too. I enabled testing and allowed pacman to update these packages:

upgraded hal (0.5.11-4 -> 0.5.11-7)
upgraded libnetworkmanager (0.6.6-1 -> 0.7.0-1)
upgraded networkmanager (0.6.6-1 -> 0.7.0-1)

Afterward, got the same error message as above.

Is there a yet newer hal we should be using?

Re: NetworkManager 0.7 where to find?

Went ahead and did a full upgrade from [testing], NetworkManager 0.7 seems to be happy now, not sure which package fixed it.
