Installing Packages...

Hi, I finally installed Arch with a lot of trouble (FTP installation). I couldn't install hwdetect though. So none of my drivers are working and I can't get a network connection without it. So, I downloaded hwdetect from one of the mirrors on my other computer and transferred it to my Arch installation with a flash drive, but I have no clue on how to install it!!! sad It's in the .pkg.tar.gz format and I don't know how to install it. Could someone give me a few suggestions on how to do that??? Thanks for your help...

PS. Arch ROCKS!!! I can boot in 10 seconds compared to 1 minute (Ubuntu). Yeah!!! big_smile
