ACER aspire 3680 with a BCM94311 card

I am trying to set up the wireless on this acer aspire 3680. modprobing the b43 module gives me a wlan0 and wmaster0 device in iwconfig. modprobing bcm43xx does not, so I blacklisted that in the rc.conf. I am trying to use netcfg to connect to my wpa encrypted network, but I keep getting wireless association failed errors. Does this mean I have the right module and I just don't have the correct WPA program? If you need any other information just ask. Thanks.

When you load b43 check dmesg for any error output, specially related to firmware as this looks like it's related to that (you don't have any). Check here how to get the correct firmware for your hardware and kernel version http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drive … cefirmware

You need to install an RTFM interface.
