Hi everyone.
I have a problem with my proftpd deamon. I have a home router, and I have redirected roiter`s 212 port to my home box`s 21 port. I am trying to connect to my ftp from work, and I am able to connect, but I am not able to get directory listing. Here is a part of my /var/log/proftpd.log:
Jan 21 13:03:53 tangra proftpd[29405] localhost.localdomain (some^location): FTP session opened.
Jan 21 13:03:53 tangra proftpd[29405] localhost.localdomain (some^location): USER gruntz: Login successful.
Jan 21 13:03:53 tangra proftpd[29405] localhost.localdomain (some^location): Preparing to chroot to directory '/home/ftp'
Jan 21 13:04:32 tangra proftpd[28428] localhost.localdomain (some^location): Passive data transfer failed, possibly due to network issues
Jan 21 13:04:32 tangra proftpd[28428] localhost.localdomain (some^location): Check your PassivePorts and MasqueradeAddress settings,
Jan 21 13:04:32 tangra proftpd[28428] localhost.localdomain (some^location): and any router, NAT, and firewall rules in the network path.
Jan 21 13:04:32 tangra proftpd[28428] localhost.localdomain (some^location): FTP no transfer timeout, disconnected
Jan 21 13:04:32 tangra proftpd[28428] localhost.localdomain (some^location): FTP session closed.
My username is 'gruntz', my ftp home dir is '/home/ftp', some^location is my works computer. I have never used router`s port forwarding option. Is there another port or something to be done on the router.
Regards.
