Hi, I have problems starting httpd on my netbook...:(
Here is my /etc/hosts:
#
# /etc/hosts: static lookup table for host names
#
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost#<ip-address> <hostname.domain.org> <hostname>
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost archer-host# End of file
I didn't remember adding the first line though...:/ It just been automatically been added...
Also, I read from another post that adding this line should make it work on my /etch/hosts.allow:
#
# /etc/hosts.allow
#
httpd:ALL
http:ALL
# End of file
However when I start it, it just fails...:(
[koala@archer-host ~]$ sudo /etc/rc.d/httpd start
:: Starting HTTP Daemon [FAIL]
Thanks in advance...:)

adding that stuff in /etc/hosts.allow doesn't do anything.
take a look in /var/log/httpd/error_log
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

I don't have that log you mentioned about...:( I don't have httpd at my daemons list...:)
