Has anyone had problems typing addresses and the address bar of firefox and not being able to use the arrow keys to go back or forward through the text? I also have this problem while writing in this very text box. I can't arrow back and forth.
Also, with thunderbird, I can't see my mail. It loads and retrieves my mail, but nothing shows up in the mail window. (I've used Thunderbird for a long time, so I don't think it's user error).
I just did a large update via pacman today and ever since then I've had these problems.
I forgot to mention that my KDE toolbar icons for both thunderbird and firefox were switched back to the KDE gear icon instead of the respective mozilla icons following the update via pacman this morning.

http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/sho … ?id=132917 seems to reveal the problem, so how does the average user fix it?

I deleted my compreg.dat file to fix this problem mentioned above, but now Firefox still thinks it's not my default web browser even though I set it to be default each time I launch Firefox, any idea how to correct that?
Thanks,

gconf-editor
Then change the value of desktop>gnome>applications>browser>exec to mozilla-firefox . Also do the same for the protocols of your choosing under desktop>gnome>applications>url-handlers>*>command , changing the values to mozilla-firefox "%s" .
Doing the above will set up firefox to be started as the browser and for the protocols you chose, so now we can go get firefox to shut up about it by unchecking "Firefox should check to see if it is the default browser when starting" under the edit>preferences>general>default browser section in firefox itself.
The suggestion box only accepts patches.

HI guys, I'm also having these problems above, and I would like to ask u, why I'm not able to save anymore my preferences in firefox?
I set up everything how I would like the software worked, but when I click OK, or apply, whatever...shows up one dialog box saying that the preferences weren't saved.
I've already uninstalled firefox and deleted my ~/.mozilla folder in order to erase all old data and reinstalled it...but it didn't work.
Thanks for any future help
Rafael
Source gnu-linux distributions? Yes...absolutely.
But also, easy gnu-linux distros available for the majority.
