Looking for Image editor

I need good pic editor. I only need crop, nothing else.
So gimp is out of league, it is too complicated. Xnview wont work on my Arch64 and f-spot cant do what i want + depends on too much gnome stuff.
Please help! Dont make me download Irfanview and run it in wine!

It's easy to crop a picture in GIMP.  Just choose the rectangle select tool, select the part of the image you want, then go to the Image menu and choose Crop to Selection.

mtpaint? cropping in gimp is pretty easy, though. I don't use mtpaint a lot to know all the features, but it definitely can crop. It's also a lot lighter than the gimp.

I use mtpaint a lot. It's really good.

With cropping and resizing you have to tell it every time to not fix aspect ratio though.

Command line alternative: convert, provided by imagemagick.

I'd also suggest Imagemagick. It contains the "display" command which lets you... surprise, display the image in X, and do some basic modifications (such as crop) in graphical environment.

Desktop agnostic, so no tons of deps.

Another vote for mtpaint. Or just use the gimp, it's really easy to do in either of those programs.

If you really need only crop, mirage will do job just fine and it's lightweight.

fotoxx does the job.
Mirage is very good but misses zoom with mouse wheel.
