How to sinchronize files desktop - laptop regularly?

Hi!

I have my desktop, and a laptop... sometimes I change files in the desktop, sometimes in the laptop...
Text archives, html files, etc...

which is the best way to sinchronize them in both ways?

I will need to do a rsync in both sides regularly?

A friend recommend me a svn server... but I do not need versioning, etc... just the same files in both sides...

any idea/recommendation?
