[SOLVED] lagging internet connection

Hi

I have arch in both my laptop and my desktop. My laptop's wireless connection works fine, I mean firefox and opera open pages fast, pacman responds fine, etc. But my desktop's wired internet connection lags (pages take forever to open, very slow scrolling, pacman is slow, etc), and I don't know where to look. My rc.conf is correctly configured with my hostname, and so is the hosts file (which includes my hostname). I tried to use wicd, disabling the network daemon and the eth0 interface in the rc.conf, but the problem remains. On the other hand, connecting to my samba shares works just fine.

Edit: It seems my router went crazy, everything works fine now.
