NetworkManager

When i using ubuntu my networkmanager had three tabs... and on the third one i always needed to change the dns ip for my vodafoneES usb modem to work...

Now on arch my network manager only show 2 tabs, why is that?

Where to find the conf file to change the proprieties manual?

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

You have to stop it first. You can't run two instances.

Re: NetworkManager

I'm on a ubuntu machine right now, looking at the networkmanager settings i find that it uses a a plugin that i don't have on my arch machine... "ifupdown"

nm-system-settings.conf
[main]
plugins=ifupdown,keyfile

[ifupdown]
managed=false

And the tab that i don't have on my arch machine is called "IPv4 Settings"...

I don't have "ifupdown" on my Arch machine, either, but the "IPv4 Settings" tab is available.

Re: NetworkManager

The wiki suggests running ck-launch-session before running nm-applet.
That's just what I do and I have "Ipv4 Settings" tab

Re: NetworkManager

I do have everything, no ck thing needed and so..., but I use NM 0.7 for a long time now, like a year or so, which I build myself from git using borrowed pkgbuilds from aur with some modifications of my own...
I have binaries too, if You're interested I can share them.
