It is becoming clear to me that 8 gbytes of root that arch automatic installation reserved for root, wont be enough for me..
So, is there some way to give my root more space? My home folder is so big and there is nothing really important yet, so i could easily give space from there..

GParted should help you out. Simply put in a GParted Live CD and expand the drives that you want. AFAIK, all filesystems can be expanded..but XFS and JFS cannot be shrunk.
I normally separate out my /var partition, but still 8GB is not a bad size. I have a 7GB root and have filled up 1.7GB of it and my /var is 5GB and have about 1GB filled. So even if you combine both, I have only filled up approx 3GB. I am surprised that you find 8GB to be less.
Note though, that I do not have Gnome or KDE installed. I just have 3 different WMs installed.

Nah..I Dont mind if something goes f...ed up.. this is actually a first linux distro i really love, so re-installing would be a pleasure .. Gparted is doing its job right now, seems to be pretty slow thing to shrink my 200 gb home partition..
